FLOYD MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Minutes (approved) of meeting August 1, 2011.

Members present: Rosemary Gabriel, Seth Kaufman, Melina Angelson, Buffy Hartmann and Director Lisa Richland.
Absent: Diane Mulvaney, Rebecca Miller.

The bid of Noble Elevator Company in the amount of $62,500 to install a new elevator cab and platform to fit the existing hoistway was approved as submitted on motion of 1) Kaufman, 2) Gabriel, unanimous.

Ratsey Construction Company of Greenport has provided a comprehensive bid for the necessary demolition and construction work related to the replacement of the elevator. The bid is $7,000 for demolition and disposal of the existing elevator and $13,500 for ancillary construction during installation of the new elevator. It does not include electrical work, which will be performed by ICE Electric of Cutchogue.

The bid of Ratsey Construction Company, totaling $20,500, was approved on motion of 1) Hartmann, 2) Angelson, unanimous.

The fund balance will be used to pay for this work.

Meeting adjourned at 7:18 on a motion of  Gabriel.  The next meeting will be Monday, September 12, 2011, at 7:00 pm.
